Social Events
A variety of social events and recreational activities are offered, including community outings, 7- days a week and evenings. Staff provide a variety of stimulating individual and group programs.
Some of these programs include: Bingo, Gardening, Cards, Crafts, Cooking Therapy, Bible Study, Birthday and Anniversary parties, Holiday-themed events and much more.
Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapy Services
Therapy Services are available 7 days a week by a strong clinical team of experienced therapists. They are committed in providing residents with rehabilitation and support to maximize positive outcomes. Our goal is to help each resident reach their greatest possible degree of independence during the process of recovery. The therapy department utilizes a wide range of modern equipment and services to deliver the best ongoing care and treatment. The team of therapists and staff at our facility work closely with the residents, physicians and family members to ensure the most appropriate course of treatment for the resident.
Physical Therapy
Physical Therapy improves the resident’s mobility, function and helps to relieve pain. Following an evaluation, individual treatment plans are developed to help residents achieve their goals. Staff also began using the Nintendo Wii for balance and coordination.
Occupational Therapy
Occupational Therapy focuses on the resident’s activities of daily living such as dressing, eating and independent living skills.
Speech Therapy
Speech Therapy uses tools and treats residents for language and cognition skills such as, memory skills, attention, and social interaction. They also work with residents that have chewing and swallowing problems and evaluate meal textures and consistencies.
Expertise is provided utilizing several of the following modalities:
- Electrical Stimulation
- Ultrasound
- Moist Heat
- Cold Packs
- Paraffin Treatment
